The Greater Cincinnati Regional Arson & Fire
Investigators Seminar was established in 1962. The seminar is truly regional,
attracting students from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Over the years we have also
had students from Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Illinois, Arkansas,
Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee.
The seminar provides quality, affordable training in the
field of fire cause and origin investigation and arson detection.
The committee that organizes and runs the seminar consists of
thirty dedicated professionals that serve without pay. They are fire chiefs,
retired fire personnel, fire/arson investigators, fire & police personnel,
judges, prosecutors, insurance investigators and A.T.F.
The GCRAFIS committee gratefully
acknowledges the help and assistance from the seminar host, Chief Rick Cruse and
the members of the Evendale Fire Department. The assistance Chief Cruse and
his department have given us, over the years, has been a great asset to the
success of this seminar.
Also, to the Village Of Evendale and
the Evendale Recreation Department, for the use of the fine facility we hold the
seminar in, we give thanks.
